  Ride the Thunder Dragon ...........

Where the universe is still intact!

This unspoiled country of majestic mountains, unique cultural heritage and architectural style is open to only some 6,000 tourist per year. Your biking tour will show you a land filled with warm hearted, friendly people and a true paradise in a lost era of past centuries and daily values that have the substance of years gone by.

A Kingdom in its own right, it is one of three unique Kingdom (Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan) landlocked in the Himalayas that offers some of the most, if not the most unique mountain biking in the universe.

One week and up to three week itineraries both on and off road are available.

The last of the Himalayan Buddhist Kingdoms.......

where the universe is still intact.

Words are lost in describing what few have had the opportunity to experience…….. but let's take off the 'rose-colored glasses' for no country or religion is perfect and many observations can be idealized and misunderstood through not having a comprehensive knowledge of what's filtered through an iris of different dimensions. However there is no doubt that, like it or not, interested or not, Buddhism (the binding force of the Kingdom) creates that flavor and essence of the country which is on every visitor's lips and gives Bhutan a character uniquely it's own.

To travel through the peaks and valleys of Himalayan Buddhism - there's no more intimate a way than by mountain bike - it allows you to become a mandatory collector of fragmented images with an overload of sensory impressions. At the end of the day and the journey you are left with them all for the mind to sort and filter till they settle with a lifetime of memories. All these exceptional sights counter the stereotypes we are accustomed to and contrast with this country's simplicities, which touch the soul.

Imagine a capital city that has one set of traffic lights (only added in the past year) and the river it surrounds offers crystal clear water to the last pebble resting in it's depths, where plastics are banned or a city where cyclists are requested to dismount & walk through the town in respect for pedestrains……. Unheard of ………. well that's Bhutan.

Mar- April and Oct.- Dec. are the most visited months. Days are sunny, and the nights are chilly. Some special gear requirements will make your tour more comfortable, although our biking calendar offers sunny days and great accommodation to celebrate a brilliant days biking in. Pre-planning and visa application is essential. October usually offers some special treats with many of Bhutan's famous festivals incorporated into our programs. Thus it's also the most popular months to visit the Kingdom and flights book out fast..... therefore your decision to travel should be made early. This is a 5-Star destination.
